⛅️ For Mothers Upstairs ⛅️

To all of the mothers upstairs in the clouds,
Your daughters and sons shout “Hi’ really loud.
We know you’re not here since that day you passed,
but the love in our hearts will forever last.

Some still buy cards and flowers today,
and place them by pictures and smile through the day.
Each time we pass them, new memories stir,
and we smile yet again for our mother upstairs.

We sit with your grandkids and talk about nan,
we laugh when we see “that look” when we can.
It makes us feel nice that you’re part of this day,
on the day for all mothers, here or away.

And later this evening, when the day turns to night,
you’re still not forgotten; we hold you so tight.
We sit, and we think of so many things,
the sound of your voice as we look at your rings.

Now let’s make a deal, and neither be sad.
Let’s love all the memories that all of us have.
Remember the love, the laughs and the smiles,
and celebrate Mums with love and with style.

So now off to bed, for sleep and some rest,
to reflect on memories, some of our best.
Your care and your love and your sacrifice too,
as that is what made us, now that’s what we do.

Blow out the candles and turn off the lights.
Look up to the clouds and say your goodnights.
We send all of our love and blow kisses too.
Goodnight to you, Mum, and love to you too.

For all the Mums on Mother’s Day who are no longer with us.

❤️
