Sitting not far from Seaham’s shore
Home once again on British soil
Away from the horrors of War
All this depicted by the Artist
Of this moving image we see
The setting here in loneliness
Contemplating each thought
Maybe reflecting on past experience
Possibly over wrought
The plethora of colour
Above his head in the Sky
Perhaps portraying his Wartime past
It’s not hard to reason why
Or maybe is Remembrance time
The words ”At the going down of the Sun”
Remembering the Supreme Sacrifice of colleagues
As he returned home the fortunate one
