Long Sleepless Nights

Long sleepless I know so well
Vivid flashing dreams cast their spell
The pillow fights back with an angry swing
The noises in my head, like a million telephone rings

With a gentle shake, feather light touch
Un-noticed by me, she cares so much
My pain she feels but doesn’t show
Yet all the details, she will never know

How lucky am I that she came my way
Ten years it is now since our wedding day
Through highs and lows we’ve bottomed it out
I love her more now there is no doubt

It maybe me that bares a scar
But my wife she is my shinning star
I’ll hold her tight, I’ll hold her dear
Here’s to another fantastic ten years
