Think of all the men
Who died for you and me
Who were all out there when
We were having tea
Think of how they felt
Going out to war
Think of how they must have knelt
To pray before the lord
Out to save their country
They knew what they had to do
Ready to carry out their duty
To save me and you
A roar of guns, a clash of thunder
They fixed their bayonets
Many of our troops fell asunder
Many men regret
There that day
Our men did lay
In the Flanders Fields
The poppies rose
To commemorate
The caring men who fell
