As children we love to watch the clouds
They drift majestically by
Their power and force we watch in awe
As seen through a youngsters eyes.
As adults we don’t notice clouds
Their presences no longer thrill
We have no time to see god’s gift
No time to just stand still.
Our minds are clouds
We don’t have need
To think of worlds apart
The only clouds that we now see
Is when life is torn apart?
These clouds are seen through ransacked lands
Created by man’s own greed
Produced by the fanatic’s misguided hands
Where hatred can quickly breed.
Our children still want to watch the clouds
Let’s hope the world will learn
The type of clouds that we must see
Don’t maim & kill & burn.
