SUNNY DAYS AND DAFFODILS

Sunny days and daffodils
Warm summer nights
The gentle chink of boats shrouds
Upon their metal masts
The red flash of Round Island’s lights
Gentle waves lapping on white sand
Cornish voices raised in song
There was the Cygnet, Le Sabo and the Black Swan
Running free with no cares
Games on the Abbey Green
Chocolate clip clopping steadily along
Uncle Syd, White House and Norrad
The freedom to be young
Beautiful Scilly
My wonderful Dad
The memories I have of you.
