When people think of windows, people think about the view
When we look out our windows, we will always think of you
A Senior Estimator Figure, number crunching at his screen
Having travelled the whole world over, what sights you must have seen
Portsmouth, the Baltic or Mauritius, the West Indies or Japan
All they see in the corner, a bespectacled grey haired old man
No window fixer or maker, or driver on Fork lift Truck
The kind and helpful Gentleman, to whom they pass the Buck
In a little over a years time, when this era comes to an end
We’ll think of you, through our double glaze, a Loyal and Faithful Friend.
