A rose called Jessie.

Beautiful, beaming smile,
But behind it lies what guile ?
Twinkling, sparkling eyes,
Hiding an imp cloaked in disguise.
Dimpled cheeks to melt your heart,
Even though mischief is her art.
A giggle so endearing and bewitching,
Though it’s for monkey-business she’s really itching.
All ballet dancing, games and laughter,
But it’s rough and tumble she is after.
Wide eyed, but surely not naive,
Just watch the tangled web she’ll weave.
A beautiful rose has thorns, it’s true,
Like the rose, your thorns are what makes you you.
