Beware of the Vat

‘ Charlie Mcinish ‘
a good friend of mine,
Was buried today,
beside a lone pine

He worked in a Factory,
making Polish all day
Stirring the Vats,
the old fashioned way

Then last week he slipped,
sank under the Varnish
He didn’t last long,
at least he won’t Tarnish

We pulled him out sharpish,
but quickly he set
Like some marble statue,
all stiff and erect

So that was the fate,
of ‘ Charlie Mcinish ‘
A horrible death,
but a really great Finish !
