Field of Vision

Becalmed this heart where innocence doth sleep
No mortal sin hath darkened Spirit held
No actions taken caused such tears to weep
In circumstances one may feel compelled
Such sights I’ve seen when sweeping o’er the land
Within my searching scope of weapon trained
To focus on a life as held in hand
Wouldst then have spilled such blood as preordained
Or searched my soul lest conscience deemed awry
In taking of existence yet unknown
Denying my beliefs in feigned comply
To reap the whirlwind as of yet unsown
Unleashing Demons who in Hades dwell
If acquiescing, opened Gates of Hell
