Restriction of Privilege

Before the dawn reality takes hold
For such a night will linger long in dreams
Where life is cheap and darkness brings but cold
Upon the hearts of men betwixt the screams
Now as the new morn’s light creeps o’er the ground
Our friends no longer dwell in upright stance
Still prone, they pose in silence, mute of sound
Their life blood spilled to honour freedom’s chance
Should sacrifice be counted in God’s name
For enemy in righteous cause doth shout
Or squarely placed at heaven’s door the blame
As many gone before were in no doubt
I meekly offer up a plea and sigh
Curb man’s ‘free will’ lest we all kiss goodbye
