Within an oft’ times troubled mind doth dwell
Debilitating images on cue
‘Though buried deep, unable to repel
When prompted by recall, will then ensue
As passing years have wearied memory
Of happy times enjoyed before the dawn
Clear haunting thoughts still cease to let me be
In solitude I crawl away and mourn
I’ve tried to reconcile o’er sleepless nights
By adding meaning to their sacrifice
Yet confrontation screams at woeful sights
Without denial used as safe device
My burden is as nothing when compared
Such Sacred life for fellow man hath dared
