I sat in a dark room and I watched a film
It was about a man who just wanted to kill em
He’d been in the army they’d taught him to fight
And now he’s come out his head is not right
He was a soldier who’d gone off to war
And now it’s all over his memories are raw
It’s painful to remember and ask himself why
What was the point that his mates had to die?
I don’t know this man but I recognise him
Don’t know where to turn and pushed to the brim
It’s getting harder to cope every day
When inside your head these memories do stay
Now just like him I don’t want to look back
I’d rather forget it and carry on jack
But it’s got to the point where memories do stay
And the rest of my life is all black and grey
