Let’s have an inquest,
A public enquiry,
To rake up the mud
And apportion the blame;
Then pay compensation
Of hundreds of thousands
To some piece of scum
Seeking fortune and fame;
Then sack an official
And through his dismissal
Declare that the process
Was honest and just;
Then set some more targets
And cut some more budgets
And sit back and wait
While the Country goes bust.
