My heart cries but it is not heard
Deep within my soul kept hidden
From the world I can’t explain
The reason is too deep inside
To say it out loud what good would it do
For the cause of my grief was set in stone
By a cruel twist of fate in a cold sea
Never to be healed just the flow is stopped
For a time when compassion is its companion
But compassion is a constant traveller it leaves
Soon after it arrives like a restless visitor
Who hears the call of distant plains
Then my heart cries out all over again
