Crossed worlds
Forged oceans
Changed cultures
For what?

Returning I found barrenness
Like Moses the Promised Land was denied me
For I had sinned against man
Broken a commandment
Not the greatest
But enough
For the law followed me
Hounded me
Goaded me
Till I fell into darkness
Not knowing myself

Then light
A hand outstretched
Embraces
Kisses
My real name used again
Opening my eyes I saw a face
And knew myself once more
