A stumbled fall had brought her to her knees
I rushed to help in notice of sad plight
Then proffered of my hand, with whispered “Please”
Whilst cupping hold so gently; held my sight
Without a word didst manage to beguile
Engaging eyes, expressing warmth of heart
Appreciation ushered by sweet smile
As I in helpless thrall, near fell apart
One fleeting past encounter came to mind
Another who was mirrored by her look
Hath once upon a time my life enshrined
Presenting me with child, now here mistook
As ‘Daughter of my Daughter’ casts her spell
Here ‘Mother of her Mother’ e’er doth dwell
