Life can be so cruel
It takes away the spark
Wrenches at the present
And leaves you feeling dark

Someone who you care for
Intelligent and bright
Is hit by creeping illness
That soon will dim her light

Why is it that this loved one
So filled with bubbly life
Should have this thrust upon her
Why should she have this strife
