Keep me in your thoughts
As I do what I am trained to do
I am to go to this land
To fight my fellow man
Somewhere in there is a political plan

I do as my political masters say
It has always been that way
Doesn’t mean that I don’t get a say
But it is the military way

I ask only this
If the enemy do not miss
And there are to be no more nights on the piss
I died doing what I loved best
And I shall join the rest
Knowing I did my best
And I am now at rest
