Men In Battle

Where all stand together in battle,
Just like cows and catte.
I ducked down to take a breath,
When I turned around there was nothing to see but death.
The smoke spreading through the land,
When it hit it was coughing and pouring out like sand.

I heard a strange voice in my ear,
Then I noticed the Nazis were near,
When I turned around
All of my friends were on the ground.

As the mud pulled me down,
Bombs, dancing, fell to the ground.
Take a moment to remember me,
So buy yourself a red poppy.
