One small step…..!

I marvelled as a child
Travelled to other worlds
Can I be like him?

I grew and tasted pain and triumph
The silk that holds the ether succumbs, I have arrived,
I have conquered fear, I am invincible

Fleeting youth moves aside with the onslaught of time
I look inside at wasted dreams
I am tormented by my acceptance
