A light it shines within our hearts,
More brightly than a star,
It gives us hope of Christian love
Sent to us from afar.

We make this day to celebrate
The birth of Our Fathers Son,
He came to Earth as that light
With peace and love for everyone.

Now Christmas time, it comes each year
But not within my heart,
For everyday is Christmas time
As my Lord and I are ne’r apart.

I think of Jesus everyday
And not just Christmas time,
I give Him all the love I can
As I know His love is mine.

So every time that we do meet,
There is one thing I must do,
I will take that light within my heart
And make it shine for you.
