Bomb watch in Armagh

And it’s Bomb Watch time again,
Where we walk about with the men,
Where we meet hostile people,
As we pass the church steeple,
And we wonder when it will end.

Armagh is a historic city,
But don’t you think it’s a pity,
When you walk about,
Whenever you go out,
And see bombed out remains.

The shops the houses and pubs,
And the people who only give snubs,
When you say “hello”,
Then it’s time to go,
And you wish you could find a friend.

Even the children are bought up to hate,
The everyday soldier who walks past their gate,
They must see that it is wrong,
How much longer will this go on,
Why can’t the people see sense!!!
