Brothers in Arms

It’s hard to interpret this image
As we sit and sadly stare
As though left by a Guardian Angel
To remind all of us who care
The thoughts of many Military men
Of battles fought won or lost
The smell the noise and the sadness
Perhaps their colleagues lives it cost
But here they’re gathered together
The Union of Brothers in Arms
In reverence paying their respects
With a mist the scene becalms
The crosses in rows in front of them
The myriads of Poppies too
If you close your eyes for a minute
Creating a Memory for me and you
For most us Have heard those Eternal words
“ At th going down of the Sun”
Just another solemn reminder
Not forgotten we remember them every one
