Daybreak

On the horizon the dawn is breaking
The air is wet with morning dew
Birds their morning chorus making
In the sky a hint of blue
Suddenly the Sun appears
Clouds are tinged with gold
Now the world is slowly waking
A glorious daybreak to behold
Is it April or September
Leaves of green or gold will tell
Calendar’s not necessary
Signs of nature show me well
Mushrooms sprouting, there’s some clover
Down the lane the tractor’s roar
Once again the night is over
A country morn is here once more
Villagers now they are appearing
Noisy vehicles the silence break
But I alone am the lucky one
To witness a tranquil DAYBREAK
