DISILLUSIONED

All I do is want
Want, want and, want
I expect the best
Job, girlfriend, friends
They all have to suit my needs.
This is what brings me down
This need
This appetite for a better life
But I want it so bad, my friend
I want to be many things
A poet
Painter
Writer
But I fear a life that’s not for me
I fear I will have to give up and follow the line
A normal job
A normal life
But somewhere deep inside, I know it’s wrong
But I’m trapped
I’m torn
I’m losing my belief
As I get older I’m becoming more disillusioned
Maybe I don’t have the talent
Maybe the normal nine till five is my death sentence
All I do is want
Want, want, want
I expect the best, for me!
For my life!
For my soul
for my piece of mind.
