My heart is bleeding with every pounding beat
Eyes, sore from tears that steadily flow
Body aching, tired, from lack of sleep
And thoughts, hurting, to remember how it was

No more will I see his handsome face
Green eyes that captured my very soul
Lips that caressed mine, arms that held me close
His laughter and soft, sweet words, all are gone now

How long will this cruel torture endure?
The pain that will not stop, the longing for him
A need so great it consumes me
But no, it is the end, we did not want this
We did nothing to deserve this wretchedness
Only loved and cared, and now have lost each other
