Illusion

Looking into the shimmering water
Images many I can see
Is this just an illusion
Laying waiting just for me
What is the interpretation
Grey & Brown & Green & Gold
Orange too and there’s some Silver
Surely these colours must unfold
Innermost thoughts of souls in torment
Happiness perhaps for some
What can be gleaned from this colourful Aura
Can the mystery be overcome
I think therein there lies a message
Maybe deep within the mind
Flotsum floating ever onward
Past the Diver returning with his find
When tinted oil is spilled upon the water
How will the vibrant shades all cope
Will they all intermingle
To form a giant Kaleidoscope
Was this all perhaps a Nightmare
On a bed as you reclined
Or was it all imagination
In an ever busy mind
