Remember us

We are the dead.
In fields we lay.
Remember us as we were; don’t let the flame die out.
The youth of Britain was destroyed but a new generation was born.
Laughter and happiness were restored as peace rose again.
With pride and honour we fought for Britain with our heads held high.
We are the people of yesterday fighting for your tomorrow.
We are now marked by a cross, don’t forget us or our fight for honour will be a loss.
