The sounds of war are great and strong
The men are brave and free
Their deaths are all too many
A hateful sight to see

Upon the warfields dark and stained
Their tormented bodies lie
For God and King they bravely fought
For God and King they died

Now on this peaceful quiet day
Our thoughts go back to men
Who lived and died, and silent now
We will remember them
