Shoo away the clouds

My languid form reclines as if in pose
Whilst soaking up the warmth of yonder star
A gentle breeze meanders ‘twixt my toes
I sense in turn as each bids “au revoir”
Tis glorious when life just saunters by
No headlong dash to greet what’s yet to come
No trepidation of one’s end is nigh
No need of picking chord, perhaps just strum
Such lazy days embraced as tho in tune
With timeless ‘tock’ of clock face (one small hand)
Exemplified by sunny afternoon
Played out across our green and pleasant land
Tho darkness falls in coming months, don’t fret
Sublime the days of Summer here well met
