Wishing on a Star

If I could find the shining star
That marked where Jesus lay
I would take it much further East
So many miles away

I would hope that same star
That shone so bright that night
Lighting the candle
Still burning strong
Which bought the Earth to life
Would come again once more
To save the human race

Could it be the star could guide
The same Wise Men to that place?
And with trifold their wisdom
Find a way to end the hatred and strife
Leading us to that wonderful place
To the best place of all
Peace, perfect peace,
The best state of all.
