Don’t look back

If I could turn the clock back
And undo the things I said,
I could be your friend again
And not act as if you’re dead.

If you could turn the clock back
To undo the things you say,
Life would be much nicer,
We could smile more everyday.

But the clock will not turn back,
We cannot undo these things,
So let’s put them behind us
And see what tomorrow brings.

Then, perhaps, as time goes by,
These things will come to pass
And the feelings that we have today,
Will be forgot and put to grass.
